This week we say goodbye to November and it’s officially beginning to look a lot like Christmas in town! And we love Lausanne during this period of the year: the atmosphere of Bô Noël market stands, a cup of mulled wine in hand and the modern light installations of Lausanne Lumières to spot around the city centre.

Heads up! Lausanne Youth Olympic Games 2020 will take place in Lausanne on January 9-22; although all competitions will be free with open seating, access to indoor competitions will be possible exclusively upon (free) pre-registration. Also, if you are looking for a Christmas present for your family or friends, they also have an official shop selling Lausanne 2020 merchandise in Rue de Genève 7.

Here’s what’s going on this week:

  • Open Mic night at Le Xiiième Siècle
  • Cuban night at Le Nomade
  • Cosy atmosphere, exclusive cocktails and live music at the Beau Rivage Bar
  • Head over to Olivier François Ausoni for a warming winter soup from Green Up and prosecco shopping party this Friday night – proceeds go to support Le Secours d’Hiver Vaud. RSVP to get your name on the list!

Note ** If you have recently moved to Lausanne and have questions regarding the City of Lausanne or its administration, an information workshop (in English) is offered free of charge on Tuesday 3rd December, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Daily life topics such as work, training, institutions, health, accommodation and the school system will be covered.
