Hello Lausanne, we hope you all enjoyed this awesome fall weekend. We certainly did, taking in every last warm rays of sunshine, eating chestnuts and drinking wine. Also, a special shout-out to everyone who ran yesterday’s Lausanne Marathon! Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Throughout the week

  • The annual Lausanne JazzOnze+ Festival is on from Wednesday to Sunday, bringing to town local talents and international jazz guests. Discover the programme and take advantage of the free gigs too!
  • Ciné-Festival: from Tuesday to Sunday five venues in Lausanne-Prilly will celebrate the 7th art with previews and themed evenings.
  • From Wednesday to Sunday you can visit the Swiss gastronomic exhibition Goûts et Terroirs in Bulle. Details and program here.






  • The craftsman’s market is back: local artisans and makers welcome you in Rue de Genève from 11:00 to 18:00
  • Musée de l’ Élysée invites you to visit the exhibition “Jan Groover: Laboratory of Forms” with the curator. Guided tour at 4pm, free and without registration
  • Dia de Los Muertos: come celebrate the Day of the Dead in full Mexican style at Perroquet
  • Risotto Ticinese and DJ set at The Lacustre
  • Bring your kids to meet Lausanne’s town crier: a fun way to get to know the city and this mysterious character who calls out every night from the Cathedral’s bell tower. The event includes a short walk along the streets of La Cité in the light of a lantern. Free entry, registration required.
  • Brisolée evening at Duke’s wine bar
  • Fête de la courge in Cugy from 10:00 to 14:00
