Let’s be honest. Kids make Christmas so much more fun. If you’re looking for great ways to share the holiday magic with your family, check out these events in and around Lausanne this month.
For parent-friendly events that include more champagne than cookies, check out our of list of ways to celebrate the holidays in Lausanne.
Activities you can enjoy all month long:
The Bô Noël children’s village comes to life each Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon with a petting zoo, art workshops, story times, and THE MAN HIMSELF, Santa Claus.
La Grenette is celebrating advent with story time every day at 4:30. Be sure to double check the recommended ages as each day is different.
The Chateau de Gruyères celebrates the season with an exhibit on the history of Christmas gifts. A great activity to include if you’re going to the family Christmas festival on Dec 7 – details below.
Noël at Chateau de Chillon – arts and crafts, story time, and shows, there’s lots of medieval-themed holiday activities (especially for older kids) at the Chillon castle.
Ice skating in the Flon.
The Christmas merry-go-round in the garden at the Beau Rivage – the holidays never looked so magical!
Did you know that Santa lives at Les Roches-de-Nayes? Well, he does. And the journey up the mountain in an old traditional train is worth the ticket price to visit him in person. This is one of our favorite holiday activities – spots fill up really quickly, so be sure to book well in advance.
Mark your calendar for these special events:
