How was your weekend? Some of us decided to make a long weekend of it and headed to the French countryside to celebrate Bastille Day with pétanque and proper croissants (seriously, we may have to do an investigative article about where to find real croissants in Switzerland), while others (ahem, Gab) showed their utmost devotion to the Montreux Jazz Festival and was there until the very last second (seriously, his stamina amazes us). There is plenty of sunshine in the forecast this week, and lots of summery activities to keep us happy 🙂 Have a wonderful week, Lausanne!

Starting the week off with some lakeside yoga sounds like perfection.

We said adieu to the Montreux Jazz Festival this past weekend, but this week Paleo starts up! Even though tickets are sold out, 1500 tickets are set aside for each evening act (tickets go on sale online at 9am each day). Check out the website for more details!

If you can’t snag tickets to Paleo on Tuesday night, but are up for some live music, head on over to Pavillon to check out Mané and participate in a crowdfunding as the artist aims to create a new E.P. There will be cocktails!

This Thursday Jetée de la Compagnie is spicing things up with a little salsa party and live music!

If you haven’t been to the Allianz outdoor cinema yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Seriously, it’s incredible. And this Thursday they are showing La La Land.

If you’re looking for a special date night, try eating your dinner on a Belle-Epoque steamboat as the sun sets on the waters of Lac Leman. More details for the summer gourmet cruises on the Beau-Rivage Palace website.

Is there an event you think we should share? Shoot us an email at and give us the deets!

  1. Strangely enough, the best croissants I’ve eaten in CH have been at the cafe inside Interio in Etoy.

  2. You can find better croissants than Paris at the Bakery Stalder in Aubonne. They have a “normal” one which is unimpressive but then their large croissant which they call Parisienne au beurre is perfection!!! You have to go early or the Parisiennes sell out.
