How was your weekend? We had such a great time at the Hotel Royal Savoy (read about our first time staying there here) and enjoyed some much-needed R&R at the spa. We even got a sneak peek of the Skylounge, which will be the first 360 degree panoramic rooftop bar in Lausanne that has a view of the lake and the city behind. We honestly couldn’t believe our eyes and are so excited for the opening this summer! As you can see, there are so many events to choose from this week, which will be a great distraction from the snow that is showing up on our phone forecasts. Bah.

Whether you’re Dutch or just want a reason to drink this week–bust out your favorite orange attire and join in on a King’s Day celebration this Thursday at The Great Escape!

Or if you’re looking for something a bit more delicate & dignified, the Anne-Sophie Pic restaurant at the Beau-Rivage Palace is hosting a spring-themed dinner on Thursday as well.

An interesting vernissage showcasing the artist David Weishaar this Thursday at Galerie KissTheDesign.

And in a similar vein, one of our favorite museums is hosting a Nocturnes this Thursday where you can enjoy their exhibits in the evening with extended hours.

Did you know that Chez Elle changed their name to Chez Nous, Quoi? And they’re having an apéritif this Friday night to celebrate.

The second annual Rallye du Chocolat takes place this Saturday!

Dancing and cordon bleu at Brasserie de Montbenon this Saturday on the terrace.

Have lunch en pleine air this Sunday at Jetée de la compagnie.

Just ate at the Anne-Sophie Pic restaurant two weeks ago and can highly, HIGHLY, recommend it! I’m not a foodie at all, more a pizza and burger kind of girl, and was totally bowled over!

  2. I’m going to do the Rallye de Chocolat again this year with my daughter! We are both fans of good quality chocolate!
I was surprised that you didn’t talk about the “20 Km de Lausanne” ( which took place last Sunday. There was a fabulous atmosphere and the weather was perfect! I did the quarter marathon and loved it!
