Christmas hits Lausanne at the perfect moment. November can be a heavy month; the days are short and the clouds hang low in the sky. Snow may already be gracing the mountainsides, but in the city, November means we’re just wet.
And then all of the sudden the streets are filled with twinkle lights and the scent of roasting chestnuts tickles the nose. The city transforms into the living, breathing cliché of everything the storybooks tell us Christmas ought to be. The best part is that as much as the tourism office would like Lausanne to become a destination, the vibrancy of our town is still really for the people who call it home.
We hope that this list of activities will help you make the most of the season. Merry Christmas, friends!
NOTE: We will update this list as new events are announced. If your business is hosting a Christmas celebration that you want to share with our readers, send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
