There was once a day when the suisse-romande area was not the haven of musical festivals that it is today.

Hard to imagine, isn’t it?

On of the first ever music festivals in the area was the “Festival Folk d’Epalinges.” But after nine years of bringing the folk music scene to Lausanne (1974-1982), the festival was cancelled.

A group of folk-enthusists have decided to revive the event this weekend October 4-5, 2013 as the “1066 Festival,” and the line up of musicians seems excellent!
